THE PUMPKIN TO MY SPICE - .PDF

The Pumpkin to My Spice is new for fall 2021, and there are so many layers of autumn love going on here!

PATTERN DETAILS:

The model was stitched on 32ct Winter Moon Belfast linen (Zweigart) using 2 ply thread. The stitch count is 114w x 104h, and the finished design measures approximately 7 1/8"w x 6 1/2"h when stitched on that fabric. The pattern calls for whole stitches only, and uses all DMC floss. The pattern is stitched in shades of green, orange, and brown. The full text reads, "You are the pumpkin to my spice."

WHERE TO BUY RECREATE THE LOOK:

Finish Fabric: From the Sugar Sack line by Whistler Studios, by Windham Fabric. The SKU is 50432-6.

Cording: I used 5mm jute twine instead of cording on this piece. Most craft/fabric stores carry something similar. I've seen it in the wedding section, in the floral section, and in the ribbon section of my local stores.

Bow: For the button, I used a 7/8" wooden button from my stash. The cream and brown berry sprigs were just clipped from a few picks with wire cutters and glued on under the bow, then bent to shape. I found the picks at Hobby Lobby. Their SKU is 1564830. The brown ribbon is a 1.5" chocolate colored burlap ribbon that came from my stash.

The orange grosgrain ribbon is 3/8" wide and came originally from Hobby Lobby. The SKU is 171439. The orange and white gingham ribbon is also 3/8" wide, and it is also a Hobby Lobby find. The SKU is 977959.

The materials listed above are unique to this piece. The foundational supplies (the board, glue, batting, etc--stuff you can't see) are the same no matter what I am finishing, so I buy those in bulk and keep them on hand. You can see what those materials are on the Tools and Organization page. One more time, here it is all together:

Happy Stitching!
